IRIE BLUE HOLE

Irie Blue Hole or just Blue Hole is one of the unofficial highlights of the north coast. The magic of Blue Hole starts from the scenic drive through hilly terrains and ends where the dazzling swimming hole meets lush vegetation. Bordering St. Ann and St. Mary, the blue waters of the river find its way through hills just east of Ocho Rios. Creating a natural water park, there is always an open invite to swim, dive, or just sit on the bamboo benches in the beautiful surroundings. The swimming section and waterfalls further upstream are all well-marked indicating the safest way to navigate the landscape.

There are also skilled, attentive guides ready to take you on the trek and suggest the best spots for photos. The deep sections of the Blue Hole is great for divers and thrill seekers. The guides will let you know where it’s safe to dive or jump and often show off their diving skills for an epic shot. For additional safety, vendors at the entrance sell jelly shoes and life jackets are available for rental. Food and drinks are also available.
