Close to Ocho Rios this smaller charming beach is a more intimate alternative to Turtle Beach. Situated at the east end of the town Mahogany Beach is a great swimming spot complete with a little river beside it. Mahogany Beach is cruise ship central but there is a roped off area designated for swimming only. It is also a local favourite and popular weekend hang out spot that comes to life with music and the smell of jerk. The beach has ample parking and bathroom facilities as well as a restaurant, bar, and craft shop. There is no entry fee into Mahogany Beach and a taxi may be a quickest way to get there.
