About 10 minutes north of Negril is the tranquil private Half Moon Beach. This beach is one of the most hassle-free spots beloved by visitors and locals alike. The calm shallow water and perfect white sand puts the finishing touches on an already gorgeous atmosphere. The quasi-secluded location is littered with hammocks, lounging chairs and quite places to sit. There’s great live music especially on weekends and delicious food both on the beach and on a nearby island. A $5 round trip boat ride takes you there to enjoy Calico Jack’s tasty seafood and friendly service. To maintain a healthy reef life the beach is a part of the Negril Marine Park and no motorized water crafts are allowed.
