Bellefield Great House is one of the oldest sugar plantations in Jamaica. The 1794 great house is located in the hills of Montego Bay on 10-acres of landscaped tropical lands. A tour of Bellefield explores its 100 year old miniature version of a sugar mill. Visitors will be guided through the sugar making process from turning cane juice into wet sugar and molasses and tasting freshly squeezed cane juice. During the tour you can sample the estate’s rum and learn the secret recipe for brown sugar rum punch. After learning about the property a delightful luncheon is served under a 300 year old guango tree. Small groups and prior booking is preferred but special arrangements can be made otherwise.
