Windsor Cave is one of the finest in Jamaica both physically and for its biological importance. Located in the deepest point to negotiate in the Cockpit Country Windsor Cave has the largest bat population on the island. Just beyond the mouth of the cave are beautiful stalactites and stalagmites formations. These life forms are sensitive so visitors are asked to not touch or shine bright lights as they go along. The very experienced and knowledgeable Dango is a wonderful guide for the journey. His colourful shack is at the end of the dirt road leading to the cave. The local scientific field station also offers evening tours to view bats flying from the cave as well.

To get to Windsor Cave, follow the sign for Windsor. The final 5km is over a one lane dirt road until you arrive at a T intersection. The right fork goes to the caves. The entrance to the cave was formerly a part of the Windsor estate but was donated to the World Wildlife Fund for Nature in 1995.
