Reggae Sumfest is the premier music festival in Jamaica and the Caribbean. Widely referred to as the greatest reggae show on earth Sumfest has been around for almost three decades. The music festival is known for featuring the best local as well as popular international artists. For its 2019 staging local acts like Beres Hammond, Chronixx, Beenie Man, Koffee, and Spice gave electrifying performances. International acts including Rihanna, Chris Brown, and Alicia Keys have all graced the Reggae Sumfest stage. Attracting crowds from all over the world the festival’s activities span over six nights. It is customary to kick the show off with a beach party, followed by a street dance, All White Party, a global sound clash, and the two main concert nights . Held in mid-July of each year, Catherine Hall Entertainment Complex is home to Reggae Sumfest. The 2020 staging will mark the 28th anniversary of the festival.
