Best 6 Adults Only All-Inclusive Hotels in Montego Bay

Montego Bay is a melting pot of culture, beautiful beaches, entertainment for days, and of course, the most diverse accommodations on the island. There is truly something for everyone. If you don’t think so, maybe you haven’t found the ONE. Here’s a list of some of the best all-inclusive resorts in Montego Bay, and surely, one of them will have your name on it.

RIU Palace

If nothing else, the quality of food at RIU Palace is enough for them to be considered one of the best all-inclusive in Montego Bay. They must know that people love to eat because the restaurant selection is impressive. We’re talking all you can eat oxtail and specialty al la carte options. No reservations needed except for the specialty ones. But the ultimate is Jamaica Night. Everything is authentic and flavourful.

If that’s not enough, you can devour more delicious dining options at sister property RIU Montego Bay. Oh, and the hotel isn’t half bad either. Just kidding, the hotel is excellent. If you’re a Star Trek fan, the futuristic reception area, especially the hovering next generation ceiling piece is a treat.

The rooms are no less modern, maintaining the same mostly white design with purple fabric accents and black faux-marble bathrooms the RIU brand is known for. As a smaller resort, it manages to squeeze in the typical upscale all-inclusive resort features. The clincher here is they are available 24 hours a day. That means round the clock food, drinks, and whatever else your little heart desires.

Although the beach is not as sprawling, the two pools make up for that. The main pool tend to be livelier and a hit with the younger crowd. The drinks keep flowing and activities, planned or otherwise, keep the vibe upbeat. While the older crowd have the more relaxed infinity pool to escape to. Everyone wins.

Grab a snack, shoot some pool, or hang out under a cabana and the afternoon goes by quick. By then, the lobby bar will be set up for live music. But not before a serving, or two, of oxtail.

Breathless Resorts & Spa

Breathless, leans more to a younger crowd. Not that older folks aren’t welcome, but they tend to like a more laid back situation. If none of that matters to you and you’re into endless drinks and bopping around, Breathless is definitely for you. Most of the bopping around happens by day so don’t be surprised if there’s a thumping party happening when you arrive. The music might appeal to your ears but the hotel design appeals to the eyes.

Upon entering the cool ethereal lobby, the design involves lots of wood, marble, and striking wall designs. It carries throughout the property in the natural wood sculptures and furniture and the patterned tiles. From the lanterns over wooden chairs at the outdoor Fish nets eatery to the patterned tiles on the rooftop Altitude bar. This adults only resort is also a techie’s dream. Everything, especially in the junior suites, is digitally operated.

The minimalist décor for the rooms make sense considering the modernist layout. The mainly white palette is interrupted with pops of turquoise and blues. Striking accent walls draped with contemporary abstract art ties it all together. To help you operate all the switches and buttons, your butler will give a crash course on how things work, and can even draw you a bath in your en-suite oversized Jacuzzi tub. It’s all a part of the ultimate luxury experience.

Sandals, Montego Bay

Many vacationers come to Jamaica for the beaches, and Sandals Montego Bay does not disappoint. The beach is the longest in the city, perfect for evening strolls. It makes sense that they incorporate the beach in the amenities, having most of the dining outdoors. Facing the beach, dining is a promenade style affair. But before dinner on the beach wow you, the renovated reception area has first dibs.

Pulling your eyes up towards the octagon-shaped ceiling are the grand skylight windows. In contrast, the casualness of muted ‘living room’ sofas accented with colourful cushions and wicker chairs is reminiscent of a beachside home. It’s then that you’ll get a peek at the beach through the ceiling to floor windows right around the lobby.

With welcome cocktail in hand, the perfect tan awaits. Sandals Montego Bay continues the casual grandeur theme throughout the rooms. They are light and airy, with hints of blue and green, and spa-like soaking tubs to enjoy sunsets and a glass of bubbly. As for the rest of the property, added touches of luxury are everywhere.

The over water hammocks with 360-degree views of the Caribbean Sea at the premium over water bar ‘Latitudes’ is a blend of luxury and casual. Meanwhile, Butch Steakhouse earn its accolades for the delicious chops and steak cuts. Sandals lovers will be happy that activities aren’t compromised, day or night.

Secrets Wild Orchid

It’s no secret that this resort has an impressive location on a secluded peninsula over a 1-mile private beach. Pulling up to Secrets Wild Orchid, keep left. On the right is companion resort, Secrets St. James with which they share most amenities. On the inside, expect a modern design across the property with lots of earthy, warm tones and wood.

The sophisticated, contemporary suites with jetted soaking tubs, some with swim outs, adds a spark of romance. What you and your partner will enjoy the most is the laundry list of amenities, including an ‘unlimited luxury’ package covering dining, top-shelf liquor, 24-hour room service, and other activities.

Romance and fine dining go hand in hand, and Secrets will have you going wild. The jerk chicken from Blue Mountain, the sushi at Omitsu, and homemade pasta at Portofino is to die for. After perhaps a romantic en-suite dinner, if you’re feeling fancy, the piano bar and live steel drum band is a lovely way to end the evening.

Excellence Oyster Bay

From any angle, this resort is an excellent vacation destination. Artistically positioned on a two-mile-long peninsula surrounded by the Caribbean Sea, Excellence Oyster Bay is a very relaxing and romantic all-inclusive option. The drive from the bustling airport freeway is only 40 minutes away, but somehow Excellence manages to curate an isolated setting. It’s the perfect mix of convenience and seclusion.

Don’t let that lull you into thinking that means there will be nothing much to do here. It’s the opposite of laid back during the days, and really gets going as the evening process. Evening time is the right time at Excellence Oyster Bay. It’s the theatre evening shows and fun martini bar that enhance the Excellence experience.

Relaxing in a private plunge pool while watching the sunset or setting sail on the Luminous Lagoon evening boat tour are must-dos. It’s all about choices here. From fine international cuisine to special perks that include exclusive restaurants, private reception, and spa treatments, Excellence will leave a lasting impression.

Bahia Principe Luxury

The sheer size of Bahia Principe Luxury will wow your socks off. The place is big, real big. That, and there are so many large areas for activities. Think Disney World meets tropical luxury. Funny enough, there are small little corners for quite times too. Basically, it’s in a world of its own although technically, they share it with sister family-friendly property, Bahia Principe Grand next door.

The lagoon type landscape mixed with the hotel’s Spanish origins heavily influence the style and atmosphere throughout. It can be seen in the white-stucco architecture and red clay tiled roofs. The old-fashioned style of mainly cream-wood furniture, earth-tone draping, and abstract artwork brings a casual elegance to the aesthetic.

Expect the same elegant, albeit old-fashioned style in the rooms plus lovely four-poster canopy beds and floor to ceiling glass doors letting lots of light in. Manicured pathways dotted with swaying palm trees lead to one of the resort’s main attraction – the pools. Truth be told, the pools are better than the small, shallow beach area.

The captivating Grecian style in-pool gazebos housing swim up bars as well as the perfect water temperature seem to be a good trade off. To be fair, a nicer beach area is only steps away at Bahia Principe Grand so no loss there. You’ll really hit the jackpot in the dining and activity area. Luxury Bahia may have ascended to god-tier with absolutely delicious food, service, and large portions.

It’s so good you’ll wish you had more days just to eat the jerk chicken, patties, and practically anything from the wide variety of different food options. For entertainment, there’s plenty of day time activities by the pool that get quite lively with upbeat music and all kinds of land and pool sports.
